Parents as Partners

As a lifelong educator, I know firsthand that students fare better when supported by caring and engaged parents.  Students are more apt to thrive and succeed with their parents collaborating actively with our educators.

Parents and their invaluable insights and assistance are vital to a successful school district.  As a classroom teacher, administrator and superintendent, I learned to value the professional and collaborative relationships I forged with my parent community.  Teachers know their content and best practices for delivering that knowledge to students, but parents know their children best.  As a governing board member, I will welcome input from parents as we work together, in partnership, to make the best decisions for students.
