Organizational Efficiency
Not unlike a publicly traded company, I view our community as the district’s shareholders and their tax dollars as start up capital. Good stewardship of our community’s investment can help to foster and grow our most precious asset- our students.
Continuous examination of SUSD’s management structure, organizational practices and budgetary priorities is vital in making the best decisions for our neighborhood schools. Elected governing board members are charged with providing oversight and guidance to our district. Drawing from my experience as an education leader, I will work to build trust and consensus with my fellow board members as we work, collaboratively, to protect our tax dollars, property values, school assets and, most importantly, the children of our community.
